Hi, I’m Avery Fritsch!

I'm a senior at Penn State University studying Digital Journalism and Media. I'm a writer at heart, a self-proclaimed trend enthusiast, and endlessly curious about the intersection of fashion, beauty, media, and culture.

My interest in fashion and beauty started with discovering my own personal style, but quickly grew into something much bigger. I became fascinated not just by what people were wearing or buying, but why. Why does one brand become everyone's latest obsession? How does a single TikTok spark an entirely new trend? And what makes certain styles timeless while others disappear almost as quickly as they arrive?

That curiosity, combined with my love for writing, inspired me to create UnFold.

Through this blog, I explore everything from emerging fashion and beauty trends to the marketing strategies, cultural influences, and consumer behaviors shaping the industry. My background in journalism and corporate communications has given me a deeper appreciation for the power of storytelling, and I'm particularly interested in how brands build identities, create communities, and influence the way we see ourselves.

But UnFold isn't about telling you what to wear, what to buy, or what's considered "in." It's about looking a little closer at the trends we encounter every day, finding inspiration in unexpected places, and developing a personal style that feels authentically yours.
